Tessa von Havelsee is an adorable smaller sized 2 year old Shepherd mix. All-around terrific Tessa just seems to love everyone she meets. Medium size and medium energy, her cute expression and lion-like mane will draw attention, and her personality will seal the deal. This girl is extra sweet and eager to please. She house-trained quickly in a brief foster home, easily got the hang of the dog door and responded fast to any directions. Squeaky toys are a favorite, but most of all Tessa prefers to be with her human(s). She'll do best in a situation where she can be with people and/or have another friendly pup for company. Being alone at home all day is not for this quiet extrovert; she feels most comfortable in the company of a person or another dog. At the rescue, she exits her kennel with a wagging tail, she walks right next to her person, and she meets pups with ease. She relishes in the attention from the volunteers and staff, be it a head scratch, ear scratch or full body rubs. She would love a treat too, and she takes them gently. In playgroups she is calm and comfortable. She likes to mingle and meet all the other dogs and then return to staff for some attention. Tessa will be a wonderful addition to her forever family.
